A vision defines where an organization is going, where as a mission describes how an organization plans to achieve their vision. In order to provide you with a clear understanding of who you are and who you want to become as an organization and/or pain practice you should consider asking yourself the following questions:
- Do you specialize and treat acute pain or chronic pain?
- Do you believe chronic pain is a chronic disease?
- Who are your customers (how do you know if you are meeting or exceeding their expectations)?
- Do you believe in a comprehensive/multidisciplinary approach to pain management?
Once you have a better understanding of who you are as a pain practice, the next questions are where do you want to go and why?
